Local choir wins ATKV/RAPPORT Choir Competition

The following is an extract from the article posted in a local newspaper, The Paarl Post on 13 February, 2014.
The Winelands Chamber Choir, conducted by Mr. Ivan le Kay, won the trophy for the category “Mixed choir” at the Suidoosterfees ATKV/Rapport Choir competition on Sunday, February 2, 2014. This is the first time the choir took part in any competition. The Choir competition was judged was by Mr Johan de Villiers ( Conductor : Libertas ) , Hennie Loock ( Conductor : Tygerberg Children's Choir ) and Ms Lizl Gafley ( Conductor : Kensington Corale ), of which all only gave positive critique.
The Winelands Chamber Choir, is based in the Paarl and is in its 4th year of existence. The driving force behind their successful existence is good leadership, hard work, faith and a passion music. The choir performs regularly at church services, concerts and also holds an annual concert.
