In memoriam: Morne Van Wyk (11 July 1987 - 13 April 2016)
Dear Morne,
On 13 March 2016 you left this world while doing what you love... singing. We will miss you dearly, but we know you moved on to a better place where you will keep on singing in Heaven's Angelic choir. It was an honor to have known you. You will live on in every heart you touched brother.

I never thought that I would miss our cyber fights; but alas, I miss it as much as I miss your voice, your laugh, your smile, your FB-posts, your whole being. You came into my life with a bang – where you said (basically demanded) I teach you “Lacrymosa”. I still struggle, but it’s getting better (albeit at snail’s pace). I know you’re singing with us as you watch from above. RIP my brother from another mother; my eie stresspoppie. “Praise to thee, O Lord, for all creation”

Dis met skok dat ons die nuus ontvang van die heengaan van Morné!
Vanaf my en die hele Suidoosterfees personeel deel ons diepe meegevoel & simpatie vir julle verlies aan so 'n wonderlike mens! Ons gebede gaan uit na al sy familie & vriende gedurende hierdie tyd van ween en verlange .
My laaste kontak met hom was net 2 dae voor sy sterfte ... en hy was so positief & opgewonde! Dis hoe ek hom sal onthou en weet dat julle as die Wynland Kamerkoor so groot deel van sy lewe en vorming was.
